There is a conference sponsored house church in Vancouver BC. So that is one official SDA house church.

My only issue with house churches is that I can’t go visit one if I want to without an invite. It just feels to me that church should be held in a public place of some sort.

I can relate to the simplicity of this.

Jesus modeled his prayer life for every believer. There are lots of small hidden texts about his personal prayer life in the gospels (eg. Lk 5:16).

Jesus also modeled the miracle lifestyle for His disciples and invited us into it (Jn 14:12). This part is scary but fun. I love to see unbelievers touched and healed by the power and presence of God (I just witnessed this again the other day). They are usually very open to the message about this wonderful Jesus.

I call this the “show and tell” model (sometimes it’s “tell and show”. I didn’t invent it, Jesus did – Lk 9:11). Show them the gospel of the Kingdom and then tell them about it (Lk 10:9). It’s a powerful combination!

I was part of this god created family. It was a 1.5year journey with these people.
I was lucky to be a part of it. Truly godly people…….thanks gateway for creating a beautiful platform for people to know who god is………God is Love…..and the CARE is all about reflecting Gods love…..

Hi Peter. Ross here. I met you at the weekend Dialogue above. Feel really encouraged after the weekend by all involved. Thanks for your input. Jackie and I have been journeying towards missional ideas sine we moved to Payneville 5 years ago. This weekend past, we feel we have seen a sign post of sorts. Thanks again, Ross.

We do an agape type feast without the bread and wine and we call it our Fellowship Table. This year we are doing the Living Last Supper as the main feature of the evening with the focus on Jesus death and sacrifice on Calvary. Thanks for the wonderful ideas in your article. Loved the idea of the personal prayer opportunity.
