Norseman is an isolated mining community hundreds of kilometers east of Perth (Western Australia). A growing number of Aboriginal families have been meeting for worship each weekend. Last October (2006) the leader of this new church plant, Nancy Park, reported that their group was growing so fast they were struggling with room. When all the children came they had about 20. Nancy also reported that they had approached the local authorities (Shire) about taking over the vacant and dilapidated old Scout Hall in town.

This week Nancy reports, “I approached the Shire here in Norseman to see if we could acquire the abandoned Scout Hall and they are allowing us to use it, free of charge! They are also paying for the water and power!”

"The Esperance Adventist Church folk (some hundreds of kilometers to the south) are going to do the maintenance on the building – painting and some repairs,” Nancy writes. “I cannot praise God enough. He is so good. I know that the devil does not like what we are doing but he is the defeated foe and he is not going to win!” (I like it, Nancy!)
