In many ways it is a microcosm of western societies &ndash; with a population of 3.7 million of over 140 different nationalities, with 160 languages spoken in homes, 50,000 overseas students, and 15,000 indigenous people. It is projected that there will be at least a further million in the city by 2030. The majority are secular and postmodern. Only a small percentage attend church &ndash; and that figure is only as high as it is because of large numbers from countries where the national religion is Catholic or Orthodox. The challenges of evangelism are enormous however God would not have called believers to take the gospel to all these people &ndash; and to all western\/northern societies &ndash; if it could not be done. Many believers in established churches work hard to share their faith &ndash; but we need hundreds of new churches and faith initiatives to reach new people.<\/span><\/font><\/div>\n<div class=\"Section1\"><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><\/div>\n<div class=\"Section1\"><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><\/div>\n<div class=\"Section1\"><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><font color=\"#000000\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; color: windowtext; font-family: Arial\">Check out the stories on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newchurchlife.com\/\" title=\"https:\/\/www.newchurchlife.com\/\"><font color=\"#0000ff\">www.newchurchlife.com<\/font><\/a> to get a feel for how God is using many to create new clusters of faith within their communities. Their influence continues to grow in the local community &ndash; as do the options for the kids involved &ndash; and a few of their community supporters\/helpers are now meeting with them for spiritual fellowship. &ldquo;Several people came to Gunhild and Jan Erik and asked them to start something!&rdquo; says one leader. &ldquo;They actually serve as the only option the local schools and council have when it comes to rehabilitate kids on the edge.&rdquo;<\/span><\/font><font color=\"#000000\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><font color=\"#000000\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Impact\">God&rsquo;s Money in the Harvest: <\/span><\/font><font><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial\">Over the last couple of years Gunhild &amp; Jan Erik (from Steigen, Norway) have taken a group of community teens to Romania to work in orphanages for a couple of weeks. They have decided to do it again this year, but did not have the money. They had decided on taking out a personal loan to defray the costs. However, without telling anyone except God &ndash; money started to pour in. The local Red Cross asked if they needed money &ndash; and they were surprised to learn that they had collected almost the total amount needed. Gunhild had just that morning prayed for this amount but not told Jan Erik. Imagine their joy!&nbsp;<\/span><\/font><font color=\"#000000\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\"><\/font><font color=\"#000000\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Impact\">Gospel Choirs reach Postmoderns:<\/span><\/font><font><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial\"> Postmodern secular young adults are joining gospel choirs in the Czech Republic &ndash; and through their participation are coming to know who Jesus is. Gordon also helps out at the same school with the gymnastics. They are also partnering with Frontline, a local Christian debt recovery charity &ndash; and using the local community centre gives exposure.
