McLaren, Brian. More Ready than You Realize.<\/strong> Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 2002. I have read McLaren’s Finding Faith (1999), The Church on the Other Side (2002) – and am reading The Secret Message of Jesus (2006) – however, the book that I have enjoyed the most so far was More Ready than You Realize. Within his story of sharing faith with a postmodern – including transcripts of their email exchanges and dialogue – McLaren provides many significant insights into “evangelism as dance in the postmodern matrix.” Two ideas that confronted me were – (1) we can reduce God to what we understand, and (2) we can create beliefs around how we wish to act.
